Leading Safety at Percival

Meet Kelly Mills, Percival Scientific’s Safety and Quality Coordinator. She began working for the company in 2010 as the receptionist which included answering phones, entering payroll, processing parts orders amongst other tasks. After that, Kelly took over the safety and production schedule as the Production Coordinator.

Kelly’s current position in the company keeps her plenty busy! For the safety side of her role, she’s in charge of managing the company’s safety program which includes safety procedures, safety audits, and safety training. The quality side of her role began when Percival received their ISO 9001:2015 certification, which ensures the company is designing, manufacturing, and selling a quality product to customers, this past fall. This new role means working hand-in-hand with the ISO standards and dealing with issue tracking, employee training, and internal audits.

“Every day is different with its’ own adventures and challenges,” Kelly says about working at Percival. “Each challenge brings a new learning experience. I also enjoy the people I work with. We all share the same dedication in making a quality product and in the success of Percival.”

Kelly graduated from AIB College of Business with an Accounting degree. She’s worked at H&R Block, a flower shop, Mid-State Distributing, and the Dallas County Hospital prior to coming to Percival.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three kids: Zach (20), Ally (12), and Emma (8). They keep her plenty busy with many activities day in and day out.

Fun Fact: Kelly’s favorite food is Italian. She says if she could travel anywhere in the world right now, expenses paid and no worry of a pandemic, Kelly would travel to Holland to experience her Dutch heritage.
