Let Us Help Tailor Your Chamber
We collaborate with scientists across diverse disciplines and have deep insight into which chamber options best suit different research needs. Choosing chamber options independently may lead to a design that does not fully align with your research objectives. To ensure the best outcome, we recommend a free consultation with our customer support experts, who can help guide your choices based on your desired results.
Complete In-House Testing to Ensure Your Success
Our technicians follow an extensive testing protocol to ensure your chambers meet the desired specifications for your unique research needs. While some companies test only individual components or isolated systems, we fully assemble our chambers and rooms and test them as finished units in our facility before shipping. This allows us to verify the product's complete functionality as if it were already installed in your lab or production site and confirm that it meets or exceeds all performance standards. Our customer support team is committed to setting you up for success.

Protect Your Warranty and Keep Your Chamber Running Smoothly
Did you know your warranty depends on correct use and maintenance of your chamber? Follow these important requirements and tips to keep your chamber working properly and protect your warranty.
1. Thoroughly inspect the chamber upon delivery before signing for it. Occasionally, a chamber is damaged in transit by the shipping company. If you see damage, don't sign for the chamber, as doing so releases the shipping company from liability. By refusing the sign, you'll ensure the chamber is sent back to Percival so a claim can be filed with the shipping company. We'll send a new chamber as soon as possible.
2. Provide proper power to the chamber! Refer to the manual or the voltage tags on the power cords to ensure your chamber is powered in accordance with the National Electrical Code. Failure to power your chamber correctly with damage it and void the warranty.
3. You must install the drain line so condensate can flow out of and away from the chamber. Make sure you have a system in place for this, such as running the hose to a floor drain or using a condensate pump.
4. Use only deionized or reverse osmosis water in the humidity system to prevent mineral deposits from hard water, which can quickly damage chamber systems. Using any other type of water will void the warranty.
5. Leave at least 6" of clearance between the wall and the right side of the chamber for proper ventilation and to prevent damage (applies to chambers with air-cooled condensers). The unit needs to draw in ambient air through the condenser and expel warmer air from the mechanical compartment. If one or both of these vents is blocked, the unit will fail prematurely.
FAQs About General Chamber Maintenance
How do I keep my chamber clean and in good condition?
Vacuum any dirt on the shelves and floor.
Wipe up spilled water to avoid rust and mold.
Clean the humidifier pan every 6 months (if accessible).
Wipe the bottom of the door gaskets regularly.
What routine checks are necessary?
Check all the evaporator motors by placing a piece of paper below the plastic grate to check airflow. If the paper is pulled to the grate, the airflow is working properly.
Check that the condenser is clean, unobstructed and working properly (can do the paper test for this as well).
How should the chamber be maintained when not in use?
For less than 1 week: Set temperature near ambient; turn lights and RH off.
For more than 1 week: Turn off chamber; clean and wipe off damp areas; leave door ajar to allow air drying.
